Everyone is held accountable for their actions in the NFL and CFB except the refs. They can put their thumb on the scales for game outcomes with incredibly bad calls, and not be penalized themselves. How the hell are defensive players suppose to do their jobs without the fear of hurting their team??

That is what our fan base has been saying for years, and that's how referee's can influence what team wins a game, and they are allowed to do this type of unethical refereeing of games for ever without anything what so ever being done about it.

Sports refereeing should be held accountable just as every player, and every team regardless of the sport are held accountable to their actions. That one bad call affected everything that happened in just that one game from the time the clock started ticking after the first kickoff from the team record all the way down to the first dime bet on that one game, and it was all controlled by what a referee decides to do during that game, and it was a negative affect for every person that had interest in that game on both sides, and it was bc of a bad call by one person that wasn't over ruled and corrected!!!

Referee's are under trained, and are not held accountable bc of it, and this should be changed by the NFL, and the NCAA bc a game should never be decided by intentional, or unintentional in plain sight bad calls. And in this case, the ruling should have been corrected bc it was a correctable call badly made!!!

I changed the channel. I’m sick of watching the worthless referees ruin games in the NFL. I’ll just watch something else. What a shame.

They might be afraid the refs would let the cat out of the bag about fixed games for $.

the refs don't want to be held accountable

so they are going to be overly conservative on this thing.

EVERYONE was 'left clueless' over that call...

Oct 12, 2022, 1:12 PM

It's also interesting how much "heat" Troy Aikman seems to be taking for his "take the dresses off" comment following that call.

If Brady needs that much protection, he needs to hang it up. Actually, he should have done that last year.

I'd been in favor of at least putting Brady in a figure 4

I would not want to play defense in today's football world. Just way too much stuff that can get you flagged.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Defenders should all just "two-hand tag" QBs and then

Oct 12, 2022, 2:09 PM

stare at the refs...

If I'm playing D line, and I get to the qb, I'ma gonna pile drive his snarky little prissy, dress wearing butt every single time.
What's the point of rushing the qb, now? Between what happened here, and Derek carr on Monday, what's the point? If you can't hit the qb, then they need to put a flag on him and that's a sack. I'll stop watching, but I doubt they care about my 2 cents.
I don't get all this crap about protecting the qb. He's playing a game where everyone knows he can be injured. So can anyone else. Why is the qb being protected so much? It's part of the game. Troy Aikman was right. The NFL needs to take their dern dress off and.let the players play. If there was a qb who would want the position more protected, it would be him. And he's doesn't.

Where is the interview with Slim Brady?

Oct 12, 2022, 3:12 PM

Someone needs to ask him what he said to the ref and why he kicked like a little girl.

I actually thought the flag was initially because Tom kicked Grady like a little b$tch after getting tackled. I have despised Tom Brady since his first super bowl win and he continues to make it easy. It’s football tom his job is to tackle you. Grady could’ve ended your season right there if his intent was to hurt you. He could’ve ended your career and sent your ### back to your empty house if Gisele didn’t already sell it because you’re her #####

It was a sack period. The NFL should apologize to Grady, show some character and own up to the horrible call. Suspension should go to the referee for a horrible call.

The only thing worse than the call itself was Tom Entitled

Oct 12, 2022, 3:38 PM

Brady's postgame reaction to it. No wonder most football fans would love to see him get trucked, just once.

In cases like this

Oct 12, 2022, 3:40 PM

When the call has basically put the game away the opposing team should:

Refuse to take the field

Line up but everyone face their own end zone

Take a knee and not move when the ball is snapped

Go to the locker room

I like Tom Brady, but in a case like that he should have been questioning that call. He knew there was nothing wrong with what Jarrett did. If that's the way they're going to call games then get rid of yellow flags and start using pink lace panties instead.

11 men rush the QB and EARN a roughing the passer.

it's very simple... the refs are protecting the face of the NFL. if that'd been anyone but Brady,... no flag.

Re: TNET: Grady Jarrett 'left clueless' over flag on sack of Tom Brady

Oct 12, 2022, 11:03 PM

Not true. They did it Monday night. Derek Carr got sacked. Nothing wrong with the tackle. Commentators even said the DT tried to brace himself so as to not land on the qb. Play got flagged for unnecessary roughness....exact same situation.

What a joke of a call.

If these are the Brady comments people are referring to, I am not sure why people would have an issue with this.

Brady shared his side of the story on his Let's Go! podcast, joking that he saw Jarrett's tackle as a "long unwelcome hug" and that he "had nightmares" after Jarrett was in the backfield the entire game. He then turned the humor on himself, saying that he's not in position to call the penalties.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What a great play by Jarrett. Ref should be fired. Do you
