He is right that there are Dabo haters, and we need to ask why. I think it is because of the same reasons why many of us love him. First, there is his faith, which is genuine and is incorporated in the culture of Clemson. Second, his success at Clemson. Clemson was mired in mediocracy until Dabo lifted us to an elite level. Other great coaches, including Saban, Smart, and Day, have lifted teams that were already elite, but Dabo did it to a school much of the country despises. Third, he has done it in his unique way without any compromise. His record is clean and his players are students who do well. The hatred they show reflects more upon themselves.

Dabo has always “kept the main thing, the main thing” … and stays true to his faith. He serves the men, not the players and gets the right fit for his program and Clemson.

The best is yet to come! Go Tigers!!

Dabo is a winner and he is transparent about his program and his beliefs, both professional and personal. That opens him up to a lot of criticism from people who like to take shots at others. I believe it’s the only way he knows how to be. Good for him. And Clemson.

Agree 100%. Dabo is true to his beliefs and who he is a man and is dedicated to his players. The PAW JOURNEY continues to produce great Clemson Men. Still love Dabo’s quote . “I once was an Alabama Boy but now I am a Clemson Man.”
