If things happen this week to move us up one or two spots…then we are going to be in discussion with a win over SCAR….regardless of whether or not we make ACCCG.
Entirely feasible that some teams ahead of us will drop one.
The most difficult part is winning the game we have to win (which is always the case)

but after beating pitt and v tech..we have an outside chance to get in.. just outside or a top 15 match up in clemson next saturday could be a play in game

We you have to depend on another losing, I think that is what they call a long shot, and we're pretty close to out of shot range with depending on Miami losing another game to two other ACC teams that really not to impressive!!!
Our team needs to have a good off season and come back next season with Dabo and the team keeping themselves in the driver's seat of their own destiny without having to hope that another wins a against a certain game for our team to make the playoffs. Having to depend on another's teams win to help our team to get into the playoffs means we most likely don't belong in the playoffs.
A lot more times than not, teams that recruit well and have good, experienced coaches are the teams that are capable of making the playoffs and making a lot of noise in the playoffs, those types of teams are usually the ones that put themselves in a position to play for a national Championship title. V E R Y seldom does a team that needs help from another team usually never win a NC!!! In 2018 we crushed Bama in the NC game, plus our team found a way to beat every team we were matched up to play against without having loads of great talent on both side of the ball, but we recruited well on both sides of the ball...

Well Miami / SMU is one, Texas beating TAMU is two above us. If we move up to 15 next week (Bama jumped 3 beating Mercer) & beat a No. 16 SCar team I think we’ll be one more upset/ loss away from making it.

Why would you say we are screwed? How about we are out based upon our win record and schedule. We need lots of help to get in to the ACCCzg and then would be an underdog to SMU in that game.

Agree w u here…since the rankings are (so stupidly and manipulatively (is that a word?) subjective…the raters will get whoever they want…so I say spot the ball, win the game and see what happens….

With the shape our offensive line is in, I'd be extremely happy to win out in regular season and miss the playoffs.
Check that...if we lucked out and made the ACC C'ship game and won, then I'd be very happy to make the playoffs.
