FSU is over rated … again. Their portal guys on the OL aren’t that impressive. Against us, J.Travis won’t be as effective against us as he was last year.
S.Carolina’s rent is due. We’ll collect on their delinquent rent when we get down to Columbia.
N.Dame worries me now that Sam Hartman is driving their bus.
NCSU is better than the ‘experts’ think. Brennan Armstrong at QB for them is their best QB since Russell Wilson.

DJ was our problem in every single game we lost the last two seasons. Antonio is a fantastic receiver that outplayed Mike Williams & Nuk as a freshman. Randall was hurt and way behind in his timing & offensive playbook. Cole Turner was a late pleasant surprise & Beaux had several great games. We have a couple more guys coming in this summer and possibly a 6'4 portal WR with good speed/hands.
Streeter did a terrible job with play calling and game management but he's no longer a problem & possibly a spy😉. We have a tremendous Defense (again) and enough weapons to score 30+ points every week. I think we take a major step forward with Cade under center and put the razzle dazzle back in the Clemson offense. Most talented TE group I've ever seen at Clemson and 2 stellar RBs. Offensive line did a great job imo considering we were extremely 1 dimensional. DJ was forever unable to make decisions in a timely manner.
We are Clemson University and we aren't going anywhere but back to the playoffs. Our 2 toughest games are in the Valley. Wes will take the next step in being a great DC. He looked good in his 1st yr with an obscene amount of pressure/shoes to fill & little to no offense at times to help him out. I wanna hear optimistic thoughts Tiger FAITHFUL...coots are optimistic with trash players and a 6.5 win total projection.
Bama, OSU & GA have new QBs and we certainly know how that can go. No reason whatsoever we can't win it all this season, don't forget what ALL-IN means. Our "down" seasons are still 10+ wins. Throw on that Orange with pride bc the Tigers are back. GO TIGERS!!!

I, personally think all the elements are there for this team to go all the way. It just depends on how quickly we adjust to the Air Raid offense, and how injury-free we are. We are due to have a good year injury-wise, we have certainly endured more than our share the last couple of years. If we can remain healthy, the defense should keep us in every game this year.

I don’t. I don’t think our offensive line is dominant enough to be a one dimensional (rushing) offense.
As I’ve stated before, we’re going to see just how good Riley is. Our defense is certainly capable of getting us to the playoffs. But without any elite WRs, and our usual iffy Oline which won’t help the running game too awfully much, I’m not very optimistic. We have Antonio, but I’m not sure he’s that game changing WR that we’ve had previously.

We’ve underachieved two years in a row. You can’t blame people for not wanting to get burned again.
We can only keep living off of our previous elite status so long. At some point, we have to show that we belong in the conversation again when talking about the handful of elite teams in college football.
Hopefully this year is the year.

Stick to basketball. We won 11 games last year with DJ starting most of the year, wide receiver room was a MASH unit, and Brandon Streeter calling the plays. That was nothing short of a miracle, not underachieving. Underachieving is getting bounced in the NIT first round as the number one seed, in your 13th year. That is inexcusable.

In fairness to Dabo and this years team,
We fired the OC and we sent our QB to the portal
So, a lot has changed.
We have a defense that will be dominant at pretty much every position group
We have a decent o-line and elite qb’s and running backs.
We have the horses to make a run this year.

There’s reason to be optimistic about QB and even the WRs. So bet the “over” _ with the understanding that a few offensive injuries could easily make the bet a loser.

Clemson hasn't won one fewer than 10 games in 13 years, and we get the best teams we play at home. Yeah, our wide receivers have something to prove, but I like the rest of this team. I like them as acc champs and win minimum 11 games

Florida State has to come here and they have an over/under of 10. I'll take the under on that all day long.
Our offense most likely improves. A new OC and better potential at QB make it where everybody would be surprised if it isn't better. On defense, the players that we lost had subpar years last year, at least by the standards set at the beginning of last year. With a summer for Goodwin to self scout and reflect and a year where it is unlikely that illness and injury will bite the defense as badly as last, the defense almost definitely will be better.
I don't know if we will get back to elite status next year or not, but I wouldn't want to be FSU, ND, or Cootlumbia U.

You know...almost makes me wonder if Dabo is not behind this?
Remember how Dabo rode "Clemsoning" to his 1st Title and then again in 2018.
Georgia, Ohio State and Michigan (top contenders) last year are All rebuilding...
While Dabo is Reloading (an 11 game winner) with Infused Talent.
Clemson's Defense is What Florida State, NC State, and ND Will Not be able to handle in 2023.
