Clemson slides down in ESPN rankings
Clemson dropped three spots in the latest ESPN power rankings to the edge of the top-10, at No. 10. "It took much longer than expected, because of a nearly two-hour weather delay and the simple fact that this wasn't supposed to be much of a game at all," ESPN's Bill Connelly said, "but Clemson event Read Update » |

What do you expect, moving up 2 spots, one for each point of that safety?

A big case of the sads right now. Not even in the playoffs discussion. ACC is such a joke so I don't even see a 50 pt win helping much.

Exactly what they want and we are helping with poor play. Getting CU out of the playoff.Let's hope at best for a NY6 game and a date at the CFA in the Benz ATL.

Sliding right on down the mountain. Reaping the benefits of Stubbornness about taking transfers, 4 schollies to the coaches kids wasted, OL poor coaching and recruiting, pathetic ACC competition. Was fun while it lasted.

Clemson desperately needs an OL coach and someone who can recruit for those positions. Danny Ford said it best (paraphrase) I'd rather have an offensive line than a quarterback I can make a quarterback out of anybody.

I don't think Danny's philosophy would work today.

I think we have nicely ranked players on the OL and even think they're technically sound. We just haven't been creating physical teams lately and we need more strength and push from the OL.
I do think however it may be time for Coach Caldwell to call it a career. Not sure we're seeing a whole lot of energy and enthusiasm out of that group the last couple years. I think we also have 3 OL out as well.

Deservedly so. I give the reigns to DG for the first quarter against Wolfpack and if we aren’t moving the ball, then we have to make a change. It’s not personal, it’s business…..I’m sure everyone has seen the movie! Everybody has the playbook for our offense now and we have to plan on that.
