Basketball starts way too early now. First real game is with 4 football games left on the schedule. Basketball used do start end of November or first of December.

We have some big names on the schedule and some of smaller schools have had good years recently including UAB and Boise St.

Much stronger out of conference schedule which is great as long as we win the games. Playing Alabama, TCU, Memphis, Boise, and Maryland will boost strength of schedule if they have the kind of seasons they normally do.

Yeah, not bad. 5 teams that made the tournament this year. Bama being a one seed. The other 4 were 8-10 seeds. One of those things we really won't know until the end of the season.
With the exception of Bama, comparable to last year.
