Good 1st round draw vs a weak 3 seed and an interesting clash vs the Ivy League champ

we also made the NCAA tournament in 2014. We beat Purdue in 1st round and lost to Kentucky in 2nd round.

2013 and 2014 were the only appearances from 2007-this year

Someone smarter than me on the subject of NCAA men's Tennis should kindly explain how a powerhouse sportsball school like Clemson University shouldn't expect to mop the floor in any athletic event where they could expect to face the likes of a Quinnipiac , a Columbia or a Binghampton ?

Cause they aren’t very good and only made it in because they won their leagues.

But Columbia is ranked #8 in the country and has been a top 15 program for several years now. They have a player who was ranked #1 for much of the year in Michael Zheng.

The Ivy League is pretty solid in tennis. Harvard is #20 and Princeton and Cornell also made the NCAA tournament. The best league outside the power 4

Ok , Mr. T_I_P . You are the tennis guru on here ...so I accept this as good word.

Can Clemson play it's way into a tennis Sweet 16 ?

will be tough. I would have liked our chances better in the other Columbia or in Knoxville but I do think we still have a chance.

While the Ivy league is good, it's still nowhere near the ACC in quality. So Columbia has been playing only conference teams for about two months. They haven't played a top team since early in the season in February so we are more recently battle-tested against tough ACC teams.

Congratulations to both the men's and women's tennis teams. Think we have a couple good coaches. It'd be a wonderful achievement if either were to make the 16. But I can see both programs only getting stronger.
