I know that in the lower rounds some absolute trash got drafted. I can't believe the lack of value seen in a kicker of his level. The kicker is going to effect every game.

The lack of demand is due to the lack of opportunities. There are only 32 spots and teams don’t carry multiple kickers. Is Potter better than a team’s existing kicker?
And - what “trash got drafted”?

I would definitely have preferred a deal with a different team that didn't seem to a have a kicker they liked ... "On August 1, 2022, Boswell signed a four-year, $20 million contract extension with the Steelers."

You know how some people "like their job" but don't love it?
Athletes are the same way. Some of them play and were good at it because they had the physical tools and it may have taken them to college or the pros.
But, then when it becomes a job, they fizzle out.
You reach a point where it has to be something about it that really gets you going. If not, you burn out eventually.
I think B.T. loves being a PK. I think he loves the ball and will work his tail off to continue improving his craft.
Looking forward to seeing what "the latest South Pointe Stallion" does in the NFL. He's going to be one of 5 now.

As a Steeler fan for life this makes me happy . Boswell is a superb kicker , one of the best in the NFL . So I wonder what the thinking was here for the Black n Gold ?
