Like that matters. It probably will turn out to be a good thing.

I don’t get it, how does a program like Ohio State have more than double the top picks than Clemson. Maybe I have pure Clemson Bias but man, I don’t see it….. what have they done in the past 10 years to warrant this success in recruiting. They must just be a machine and coaches most be great at recruiting. To me Clemson over buckeyes would be a no brainer. Can’t be they have more NIL, but then again maybe that it

*not an OSU fan in any way but they are objectively a top program

Last 10 years

OSU. 115-15 (1 natty)

Clemson 119-20 (2 nattys)

Say what you will be that is certainly not “doing nothing” the last 10 years.

Three reasons:
1. Money!
2. Money!
3. Money!

Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan, Alabama, Georgia,,,,,spend crazy NIL dollars compared to Clemson…
We are in the range of 30 or so, and a top 10 to 15 class is good!,

Go Tigers!!

And....two years ago they were a missed field goal away from playing for (and likley winning) a national championship.

Their alumni base is probably 10+ times the size of Clemson's.

So the easy answer is money. With twice the annual enrollment, all lot of money comes back to the college.

I think it's mostly NIL-related, but it's not like Ohio State hasn't been one of the top teams in college football over the last 10 years. They've made the playoff and played in a national championship game more recently than we have.. but like I said, NIL definitely matters. If you have one school offering a 6-figure check just to sign with them, and the other school just wants to talk about family atmosphere and how many games they won 5-10 years ago.. well, that's going to be an easy choice for most recruits who didn't grow up as Clemson fans.

They’ve finished ahead of us each of the last four years.

They have made the playoffs since we have.

They beat us the last time we played.

I agree, over the years I've seen more often than not that a Clemson roster that feels they are being disrespected by the talking heads only make them work and play harder they would have if they were being told they were one of the top rated classes in the country. Go Tigers, go to work and prove them wrong about your talent!!!

This is what happens when you don't use NIL to recruit high school kids...this is our society and not going to get better ..we will lose David Sanders because of Dabo stubbornness...so we will always run between 12th - 18th in recruiting unless we are willing to change...

Come on Judge. I get the NIL and transfers criticisms of Dabo but do you really need to drag God into it?

tnet-military.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I didnt drag God into it, Dabo did.

As a Christian, I like that Dabo is guided by his faith. I also like that he uses his platform to share his faith.

But I do not like it when he injects his faith in a hokey, folksy way that doesn’t portray God in a good light nor help Dabo do his job better. “God’s NIL” was one such example.

Clemson not take transfers should be a net benefit to high school recruitment being able to tell a kid that we aren't just gonna bring in a senior when it's their chance to earn PT. We also play more freshmen than anyone else. The real issue is we haven't been winning and competing at the highest lvl. And QB play has everything to do with it. We don't have to necessarily have another Deshaun or trevor. But we've had bottom 5 confrence qb play over the last 3 years undeniably. If we even had a top 3 qb in the conference it'd be huge. But Cade doesn't seem to be the answer.
