never realized how low our yards per play on offense is this year. however, the defense against ranked opponents is second to none

I'm betting our yard per play stays on average but Bama's will drop. There average is built on crapy team after crapy team. Considering how often we took our foot off the gas and brought in 2nd and 3rd string offensive players.....

Just a note on the computer models. There are numerous articles stating that this is hard for the number crunchers because we have reserve players in so early in the 2nd half. We gave up a lot of points with possible shutouts in order to get backups more playing time.
The SEC beat up on bad teams like Tennessee, Vandy, Arky, etc.
The only reason the SEC even has a bowl win is because Lamar is apparently color blind this week as he loved throwing the ball to the same guy for Miss State.
I will take us 24-10.

If anyone notices, we almost always cover unless our reserves screw up. In a way, it’s like we’re sandbagging. When our starters play full game, it’s a different story.

I'll just flat out say it....I find that football games rarely go the way I think they will. I can say I hope Clemson plays really well and wins big, but I would not risk huge amount of money on it either. I will say, at the beginning of the Season, none of the experts, and truthfully many fans really did not expect Clemson to even be in the playoffs. In my mind, this means Clemson is already playing on house money. Just based on the history of these two playing each other though...this could be a game for the ages. I can hardly wait, and it is now less than 24 hours till kickoff. Go Tigers, Beat Bama!

I wouldnt base a pick against Clemson soley on our yards per play going down this year as opposed to last year.
Yes, the yards per play is lower because we have not taken risk, ran versus teams loading the box and leaned on our outstanding defense. That recipe has been a winning formula. With the exception of the one game Kelly was hurt in.
