A cheap-shot from an SEC team (Florida) knocking the FSU QB out of the game FSU won, and knocking FSU out of the playoff!
Top it off that the ultimate beneficiary would be the SEC and Bama!
The SEC (+Alabama) should give that Florida cheap-shot artist a NIL medal.

This isn’t the fault of the ACC commissioner.
This is all about a selection committee that discounts traditional measures of how teams are judged. Instead, like all authoritarians, they only want to use their arbitrary opinions as representing ‘the law.’
ESPN, being part of floundering Disney, wants ratings. Period.
FSU, as an undefeated conference champion in a conference that is (at worst, of equal stature) comparable to the Big 12, should always be rated higher than the Big 12’s one loss conference champion (I.e., TX).
TX brings higher ratings, though; huge TX TV market.
Also, ESPN wants to buff up TX’s reputation in advance of TX being part of the SEC next year.
The selection committee, previously exposed but now under the glaring spotlight, has been confirmed as shills for ESPN.
It is all B.S.

This kills me. We all hate fsu 99.99% of the time. We even hate players with a lot of passion sometimes.
Reading Travis' post, this kills me. Whether or not fsu would or wouldn't have won in the semi-final or natty, Travis did his part. If the team could have won the natty, he would go out with a ring. The CFP added insult to his injury. Feel bad for the kid.

If what has been said throughout the history of college FB that defense wins championships, who can prove without any doubt that FSU couldn't have held any or all those playoff teams out of the endzone and won any or all their games with just kicking field goals. Who can prove without a doubt that the freshman QB mistakes couldn't have been corrected before playing their next game. IMO, there is so much that could be done before the kickoff of the first playoff game that would have helped that freshman QB to be a much better QB than he was against Louisville. TL16 was a true freshman when he won his NCG, and in no way am I saying that the FSU true freshman is anything like TL16 bc he's not, but he could have had his mistakes corrected enough before the first playoff game and been a better QB than he was against Louisville, just sayin!!!

Yeah Commish needs to contact Boo Corrigan in the near future and say to him we need to talk. Then tell Boo how wrong it was and that really hurt the ACC as a whole(who Jim Phillips represents).

Too much wiggle room for the commitee. Herbstreit said none of the criteria have weight over the others. That’s wrong, commitee can just make up things to get who they in. The criteria need to have weighted metrics.

Yeah, it really does. I know everyone is talking about Bama since they were 4, but they use the injury garbage. But the fact is, the Texas team that beat Bama week 2 is the same team. Bama isn't the same team now that lost to Texas.
I hate Texas gets Washington. Ewers hasn't played a decent defense. I really feel like they'll get exposed if they have to play a defense with a pulse.

when thinking heads try to get together it's a cluster. Prior to the 4 team playoff the top 2 selections from the AP was wrong and has always been wrong. Going to a 4 team playoff was a start but they kept it in play too long. Now with a 12 team playoff coming up this another start for the better but it really needs to be a 16 team playoff. Since college football is now all about the money then follow the money.

ESPN would have wanted the one loss Bama team to get in over a 13 - 0 Clemson team.
Same with one loss TX team over a 13 - 0 Clemson team.
Remember, TX has already said ‘I do’ in the alter of holy matrimony with the SEC.

What can you say - the only other year even being close was the first. Every other year it was pretty clear even though of course people complain - no matter how any teams you put it. However, there are only two or three that could win it - Mich, Bamma and UGA, maybe Ohio State or TX. FSU is barely top 10 without Jordan the way they played last night, so if you REALLY want the best teams then they got it right in my mind.
Is it a slap in the face however to FSU and the ACC - yes, of course it is. Let's see what they do against UGA.
