What is happening with our recruiting? Dabo has a pretty good field of coaches assembled since we lost BV and Tony, actually I think that Matt Luke and Garrett Riley will be better than Tony, and no doubt Luke is probably the best OL coach that we've had since Dabo as HC, and it seems that there isn't much drop off if any between Wes Goodwin and BV as far as teaching. So, it seems like recruits would be flocking to Clemson. Are we that far down the list with NIL money, or is there that much dirty recruiting going on, or would these kids rather have the big NIL money over great coaching???
Looking at our 2025 committed guys to date, we have 11- 4 star guys, and only 2- 3 star guys...

I agree I think the coaching staff really likes the ole miss decommit, and how he did at camp. Tbh I like him over this guy. Not saying he isn’t good and wouldn’t take him but the kid we going after that left ole miss class and camped here I love his film. Very aggressive and think he will be top notch if we can land him!! Go Tigers!!

You are correct. Even though higher ranking with recruiting services (for now), Alfred would be a much better “get” than Samari. As for Cortez a few days ago: ouch. Really wanted him.

I wish I could say I was surprised but this is starting to become a trend whether people want to acknowledge it or not. You can’t just bury your head in the sand & not be concerned how often we are now losing recruiting battles. Here lately every time we have missed someone either says just sit back & don’t worry everything will be alright or they try to tell you the prospect wasn’t that good & we have better options in the wings. Tying to stay positive but it’s getting harder not to recognize we have lost all momentum in recruiting & are currently stuck in neutral. The more they miss the more the recruiting board has to expand & lesser prospects have to be considered. Clemson needs some positive recruiting news.

I'm a believer, maybe foolishly, but let's see where we end up on signing day.
On 24/7, we are 10th in overall and 7th in avg. Not saying we'll end up that high. I'm disappointed on missing on some of the kids we offer, especially considering how selective we are in our offers. Maybe we are not evaluating those who we really have a good shot at getting.
In the world of college sports today, top tier players are like a fine art auction, highest bidder wins and once you run out of money, you're out of the bidding.
GO TIGERS!

Know what you're saying Taco, but this one doesn't bother me. We've had 2 good classes in wr targets. That may be why we didn't go after any of the big boy receivers. Saying we have a good stable of wr. Unless they bail to portal, we're good.
According to our T-Net recruiting targets, less our one committed, the other targets were not highly rated. See positions link below.
That said, other offense positions we did take big swings and went after the big boys, we have missed. We are on a downward trend the last few cycles on overall offense positions. Key being overall. We've reeled in a few high star guys but few were our primary favorites. Some will try to take a simplified spin and say wait to see, or they'll cite our rankings etc. I say it's spin because, yes, our rankings are ok until you look under the hood. We're crushing it on defense. That drives up our ratings and per player avg.
So yes, I agree with your premise that there's legit concern. Other teams have addressed their same concerns with using the portal. We know that story.

You people are so blind or just plain ignorant. Clemson will be slightly above average at best in the ACC. The powers of Clemson recognize that. Once they join the Big Ten or SEC then they'll have the money to compete with NIL. Until then get used to the status quo. Wake up people!!!!

Funny that you mention that. I was told last week from a person within the Daniel program, that a kid (freshman from Alabama) had relocated to the area. Word is that his at 6'2 about 200lbs and is a freshman. Apparently he is the son of a friend of Dabo's that went to Bama. I'm sure when the high school season starts more info will come out. (If he is legit).

Yes bc we haven't had 2 freshmen all american receivers in back to back seasons. He also didn't just bring in 2 former 5 star recruits. I swear I believe some of you get off more on not getting guys than you do getting them. Fans love to be mad about something and the proof is in the pudding. Negative post get way more interactions. Negative podcast get way more views. It's a sad reality that ppl enjoy to be miserable. Grisham was taught everything he knows from Dabo and he does everything Dabo wants him to do. Dabo isn't going to change the way he does things just to please the bunched up panties crew. As far as Judge Keller, don't know him and don't want to know him bc obviously he's just a piece of ####.

Man, talk about fake news! Moore was a 5 star on 247 and a 4 star on Rivals. Wesco was a 4 star on both, not a 5 star on either. The back-to-back freshman A-A you're referring to was based on having ZERO other WR to throw to. Not many other teams in the country were in that bad o a situation that they had to rely solely on a freshman. It will also be interesting to watch those two over their career because I bet they don't develop much under curly.

4 star target commits elsewhere is something we see about every other day!! Previously our big early June recruiting weekend would produce 50 - 60 % success rate on uncommitted guests eventually pulling the trigger for us! Now that # has to b somewhere around 20 - 25 %!! No, the "sky isn't falling" but it dang sure looks a bit cloudy!

We will be pretty stacked at WR this upcoming season. That won't be the problem. It will how we use them that will be interesting.

There is some irony here. In the '80's Clemson was dinged for some horrendous offenses such as allowing potential recruits to go out on the boat of an assistant coach and paying for an athlete to see the dentist. Now we are losing recruits because we refuse to be overt in offering them money to play for Clemson. "The love of money is the root of all evil" (I Tim 6:10). NIL is killing amateurism.

I know how y’all feel. Last night, the top WR in the country committed to Oregon and we thought he was ours. But, honestly it only hurts because I hate losing in anything. We just weren’t going to pay for one guy what Oregon is doing right now and WR is not exactly a position of need because we are loaded. We need some DTs and pronto. I was angry last night over it, but we are still in on a couple of 5 or high 4 stars and we’ll get someone

It seems pretty oblivious some recruits use Clemson to secure more NIL money from another school as they follow the money. Too bad the Tigers and other schools can’t charge back on a visit if a kid chooses elsewhere. After all it is a business now.

So far this recruiting cycle, Clemson has landed a commit from more than 80% of their targeted recruits. I'd say that's a successful class.
