Don't we have 105 now? On a serious note, I thought our original target was 22. Is Ty out of the mix now, or would we still take him. What about OL. Thought we wanted 2 more. And a safety? I don't follow it much. Morgan thomas used to post it frequently, but I haven't seen it lately.

Saw his offer list contained an offer from Army. Got me to wondering and thinking about the military schools with all this NIL, Portals and now an increase in scholarships. How does all this effect them?

Scholarship numbers don't affect the service academies. Everyone gets a full ride.
It does create an unfair situation with NIL, the academies will almost certainly never have an NIL base. There is also minimal potential to go pro due to service requirements after graduation - the rules are constantly changing:

There are few oddities like the FB Kettani, and the long snapper from the patriots. Keenan Reynolds, the record setting QB for Navy, even had a hard time getting a chance to play at the next level. David Robinson had to fulfill some service time before he could go to the NBA.

Nothing about a recruit’s commitment is binding, and any recruit that is athletically gifted to play at this level, will be stampeded, enticed, cajoled, and bought between now and signing day.
And even if you get them to sign, it is only a 1-year contract where the TP is open and ready in 9 months to “trade up” their value.
OK…we’ll see if this kid makes it to signing day. Who knows?
