I think that it's a little early for that to be said bc Venables was the big horse for recruiting on our defense for 10 years and putting those guys in the NFL with a long life in the NFL...

You are free to argue your your point, but I highly disagree. Luke has been a life saver no doubt, but Venables was one of the main reasons we went on the run we went on in the teens. I think people forget too easily the immense value he was to us during his time here.

Next to Dabo, Venebles is the best FB coach Clemson has ever had. Luke and Allen are going to be good, and Riley will now need to improve or move on.

TO STEP THINGS UP...Luke has laid down the gauntlet and hopefully all the other coaches out on the recruiting trail see it as a challenge to keep up the amazing work going on at Clemson. "Don't be the weak link" kind of mentality is always a motivator.

In my totally honest opinion, Dabo and the Clemson B O ts should do everything within their power to do whatever it takes to keep Matt Luke and Tom Allen as happy as they can be in order to keep those two tied to Clemson for as long as posible. If Dabo and the B O Ts will do that hopefully it will keep those two guys from intertaining any offers to become a HC again, why bring that type of stress into their lives and the lives of their families, Go Tigers and work for bringing home the best hardware for 2025 FB season!!!
