I like what I'm hearing from Wes. I want to hear those same comments from our Offensive Coordinator, too. We'll all know in a few days. I think this season is going to be fun for all of us. Fix a few things, and it's back to the mountain top again for our Tigers.

“Quiet kid but about his business. The game hasn't been too big for him”

Agree. Want to see Lucas get some real snaps early. Dudley too. If they have a bust or two, no biggie... Nothing we can't recover from. Especially in the first 3 games. Even the DL and DE's - rest them until the wake game. 8 weeks without an open week, who cares if we beat Furman, tech (both) 45-20. Get experience and rest on both sides. Zero reason our 1's should be in the 2nd half.

Love it!
As Coach Reed says, "we recruited these kids so we could watch them play, we didn't bring them here to not play"!
The demeaner of the kid has a lot to do with wether or not they can start early. If they are mature and very ahead of the game in that "pro-like" mentality; you can put more on their plate. Clemson offers near the bottom in all of FBS because the current staff only wants committed/business/grinder/hard nosed/mentally tough kids!
I love where we are with Wes and the new defensive starters!

Good evening Mr. Hood,
Great scoop to share with us ... many thnx.
W.Goodwin's comments about Wood Woodaz sure make me smile. So many non-believer Tiger fans had worried that this guy wasn't a 4* or 5* ... woe are the Tigers.
Maybe those 'woes are us' comments were misfounded.
Again, super fine article.

I'm glad Coach Wes actually named names, instead of giving

the old coachspeak answer of "we've got a couple guys who might be able to help us". Now, the starters at those positions know that someone is coming for their specific job, and they better step up their own games.

I want to say right now that Goodwin will be better than Venables by the end of next season. I love this guy. "Simplify and Attack" Brent is awesome but we had occasions where we didn't get set bc his playcalling or volume were too confusing to our personnel. Wes acknowledged this exact thing and sounds confident his coaching philosophy can prevent those instances among other small details. Wes knows everything Brent does and I think we will keep the things that work best and add things to spice it up. Sooo Pumped!!! GO Tigers!!!!!

I think that the addition of a new offensive line coach will be the most noticeable change in this Tiger team. You win with the big uglies up front. The OL will make life easier for el cinco. He needs it,
Not ready to give a score just yet but I don’t see the Tigers scoring more than 30!
