Yep pretty sad - didn’t even delete the top of 9th as game winning score. Do better folks.

Great season. Exceeded my expectations but that choke job in 9th is gonna sting awhile.

Three choke jobs. Twice the Tigers could have ended it in the top of the 9th. Then we can't score a little old run with bases jammed and no out. Bad base running early also. Deserved to lose.

Clemson Manager pulled a Atlanta Braves back in the 90s. Had top 3 or 4 pitchers but pulled them out of 7 or 8 inning when leading close only to have relievers lose the game. Glavine and other starting pitchers used to hate that. Now gotta beat them twice

Exactly. Thank you. Bobby Cox used to lose his mind in the playoffs and do stupid #### that he didn’t do all season. Will never forget Charlie Liebrandt, game 6 of 91 World Series. Think we needed one out to win it all? It was bottom of 9th for sure. Basically, one pitch, one home run for Kirby Puckett, over. 1 of the 3, don’t remember which, between Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltz could’ve easily come in for an out. But Bobby put his chips on Charlie ####### Liebrandt. I lost my mind

I was, in a dubious way, routing for Kirby that night. My Dad and I had purchased a package for game 7. One of those red-eye charters including round trip plane tickets, the bus ride to and from the hefty dome, and of course tickets to game 7. If Cocyx hadn't pulled Pena for Leibrandt, we wouldn't have had the chance to see one of the best pitching duels in world series history. Btw, Avery started game 6. Followed by Stanton, then Pena.

Exactly! Kirby Puckett was hitting over .400 against left handed pitchers and he had faced Charlie Leibrandt in the American League. Why in the world would you bring him in to face Kirby. It cost the Braves the 1991 World Series. Yes , they had one more game but Jack Morris pitched an incredible game and Smoltzy lost a tough one in extra innings. Bobby was a great General Manager but a little better than average Field Manager and got out managed in the playoffs regularly. Hence 1 WS Title in 4 appearances with the best starting pitching in baseball and over 14 NL East Titles. But the best thing Ted Turner did was hire Bobby Cox as General Manager because he turned the whole Braves farm system around.

It sure does when you have the bases loaded with no one out and can't get a long fly ball or even a squeeze bunt. We had bad plate discipline swinging at sliders a foot off the plate. It is hard especially with the home plate umpire giving the Vols pitcher strikes outside the zone but we need to take a few of those that weren't even close.

We’re without Cam due to a BS ejection with zero explanation. Starting to buy the SUC conspiracy theories. Looks like tnet is in the ESecPN bus.

We lost this one on coaching. Poor decisions on the bases and on the changes in pitchers. We couldn't bunt, which is a coaching problem, and should never have lost with 3 on and no out to win the game. Just a terrible loss that wasn't necessary. However, it's been a good run, and who knows, maybe there will be some more magic with another set of unps. And for what it's worth, I believe the 3rd UT batter should have been called out on strikes in the 9th. The strike zone was totally inconsistent.

And we don't need Leggett there looking over Coach Backich shoulder. That is not good for the team. Leggett needed to be honored for what he did for Clemson but he needs to move on now.

Clemson is going to have to get motivated and dig down deep to win the regional (I can’t believe I just said that). I watched it on tv but I hate it for all those that were their and stuck it out and got disappointed.

Because we used so many pitchers, our pitching in not in trouble yet. The big issue is coming back out less than 12 hours after a 14 inning marathon and without Cannarello. It will take a great job by Coach Bakich to get the guys ready by noon, but winning against Charlotte is the only way we can have a shot a revenge against the Vols and I know they all can't wait for that.
