I love this guy. Loved him when he committed to us. Give me 22 guys with his attitude and work ethic and love of the game, and any of us could coach them to a natty. Can't wait to see his reaction on GameDay. What a great young man.

He looked great out there. He made his job look easy. Very proud of him.

Go Tigers.

There were some mocking me (almost tempted to post the receipts) when I said Tristan Smith could potentially break into the 1's......yes folks, he's that good. Look out. Only weakness I can see is perimeter blocking---and that's being overly critical.....if he can make some blocks....goodness....he's a monster.

In the clips I saw he really went after the ball. That is what we have been missing. WRs that go get the catch instead of waiting for the ball to land in their arms.

Heck yea, I hate seeing a receiver stand there and wait for the ball to hit him in the chest and watch the ball hit the ground 2 feet away from him when if he moved his feet, he could've have caught the ball!!!

He's probably a little raw on big time D1 level elite coaching and "tools " and likely still a bit awestruck over it. To use his own words "dang mom, we at Clemson " and both broke down crying. A lot of the 4* and 5* kids feel entitled... whereas he feels blessed to be here and willing to do whatever it takes to be elite. Hence my post above , get me 22 like him. He's blessed with the measurables so he just needs to learn. But you can't teach raw talent. Can't wait to see him catch his first TD against those imposter Tigers.

He’s a willing blocker, that’s like 90% of the battle for those pass catchers. In his clips he has some players where he’s throwing DBs on the ground and head hunting in the secondary. Maybe he’s not technically sound as a blocker, but just getting a body on someone is usually enough as a WR to spring a big run.
