We need to take advantage of the momentum and get a few arms.

Certainly needs some good pitchers. Too many runs given up.

Don't kid ourselves...College Baseball is still the only major sport where the best 18 year olds in the country don't even play in college, hence why you rarely, if ever, see freshman phenoms in college baseball.
Whether we were the darlings for a weekend or not, recruiting is not as important as development in college baseball when your best players are almost always Juniors and Seniors

Aiden Knack, Purify, Cam (last year), Tre Phelps UGA, Burress GaTech, and plenty of others. True fr play on every team! And make an impact.

I just wonder how many times that Aidan Knaak phone has rang with a booster from other schools telling him how much money they would be willing to pay him if he entered the portal and commit to their school for next season. We probably want ever hear about it, but I would bet that he has already had those types of calls since our season ended...

I don’t think they wait for a season to conclude when it comes to the tampering game.

Oh I am sure that big $$$ schools have been after Knaak the day that they watched him pitch a game and saw how his development was coming along. They were after great players before long before the NIL granted them permission, and the transfer portal just makes it easier to get them.
Sometimes I also wonder what could have been going on in the minds of the NCAA rules committee when they come up with the transfer portal. Honestly, it has entered my mind that the NCAA brought the transfer portal alive bc of the grief they were getting from schools trying to hold to their investments they put into a player by the NCAA tooth and nail, and they wanted to make it clear that they run what happens in college sports...

Dwight Clark from Montana. Danztler to Gardner. Cam Cannerella one upping Willie Mays. I can’t watch that video without smiling.
