Lipstick on a pig coach. Defense is really good. Other phases are so terrible it’s hard to look directly at it.

For an 11 million dollar a year contract. One would expect a better team

Let that sink in: FIVE YARDS of rushing in Q1. Against Wake? Wonder what it will be against ND? Unwatchable. Thank goodness for our front four. Go Tigers!

A win is a win. WF is always difficult because their coaches and players are smart. You rarely see WF make a mental error. But truth is I don’t see this team getting by ND, UNC, UM and USC. Maybe 2-2 against that set would be good. 8 wins is not what the fans will put up with. Dabo better hit portal hard this off season. We need O linemen, a kicker, a WR. Go get them.

Everyone thought the same about Ford

Even with the probation. The fact is that no coach anywhere is above being terminated. It’s all about money. If there comes a time when the university feels that Dabo has become a liability to the bottom line, he’ll be replaced. No matter how many wins, trophies, etc. he has. It’s just the sad fact of what college football has become.

Maybe Neff or a future AD decides to keep Dabo's salary at current contractual levels while salaries increase around college football, but that is the only push, for as little as it is, that will happen with Dabo.
I haven't agreed with several of his decisions over the last few years, but Dabo has earned the right and responsibility to make those decisions. The fact is that Dabo made several decisions that myself, the naysayers, and even the pumpers disagreed with that built this program. We just forget when we were wrong, and point out when we were right in hindsight. Many times we even remember ourselves being sure of an opinion that we were really on the fence with.
My point is that Dabo will make some mistakes, just like all of us, and despite decisions being questioned, there is no possibility that his leadership will be questioned to the point that he is asked to move on. The job is his as long as he wants it. If you want to talk money, we could pay Dabo $11 million a year for the rest of his life and not come close to surpassing the income that he has spurred for this university. I had an old Chemistry professor that said that a brick could jump off the ground if enough atoms randomly moved in the same direction at once. That will happen before we fire Dabo.

Of course it was a gritty win. It had to be with the bad play calling and poor coaching decisions like the 51 yard field goal knowing our kicking game sucks. How about you need to get 1 yard and you still line up 5 yards behind the center. Coaches are putting these young men in difficult situations and cudos to them fighting and finding a way to win.

Sounds like we have some “fans” who should be watching other teams if the Tigers are so hard to watch for them. Don’t let the door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya.

People, calm down. One of the hallmarks of a great coach is he does not blast his guys in the public. He has to keep a positive spin. Psyche is always important for a team. Now, and I know this, behind closed doors, coaches, players, trainers, managers, janitors, etc all get called out and are exposed. For sure. No one is safe from ridicule. But, it’s behind closed doors and not in public. Yes, they’re in a rough patch for Clemson expectations, but they’ll sort it out. Nobody likes it, especially this team, but they’ll figure it out. (Also, for perspective, how’d you like Miami’s staff be your coaches after that debacle last night?)

I want to believe you. But the offensive woes have been going on for 3 years now. Coach refuses to use the transfer portal. He is still very involved in the play calling even though we supposedly have a offensive guru in Riley. But we don't see much play calling like ar TCU last year. It looks like the same Ole, same ole.

Is this "ridicule" applied during or after the dancing celebrations?

%100 agree. But I don’t think it matters who we hire because Dabo will be all up in the mix of it. When things go from fluid to stale in the matter of 2 possessions, just look on the sideline. It’s like he can’t help but to interject when things are running too smoothly.

We don’t need a new kicker since we have two that are both 50-50 from beyond 20 yds. That equals 100% right?

I Don't Think "Gritty" is The Word I Would Use

The word I would use rhymes with the word, "gritty".... I'm pleased that Clemson got the win, but I am still scratching my head this morning on that performance, and it mostly has to do with ball control. Clemson would have won the game handily without the turnovers. That and 3rd down conversions were not up to the standard. In order to win out, Clemson needs to be able to convert on 3rd down, extend drives, and actually score in the redzone. PS: Louisville looks scary good, like really good.

Jeff Brohm is a miracle-worker who (at $5M/year) looks like he should be paid more than Dabo (or that Dabo should be paid less than Brohm).
