davidhood® Why are you repeatedly calling this "avoid a redshirt" as if it's some disease or blight?

Redshirting is not a bad thing. KJ Henry welcomed a redshirt last year and look the jump he made.

Lets just say all of those 14 that could be held back and red shirted, and all 14 are redshirted. who in that 14 isn't going to take that news very well bc they believed they were good enough to play their freshman season, now they are disappointed and mad as #### bc they are being ask to red shirt, is there anyone in that group that would take the transfer portal and move on? I ask this question bc that is my biggest dislike about the transfer portal thing, and that is someone getting mad and jumping ship bc they can't take being told no, not yet even when it's the best thing for them!!!

Here is something overlooked. Teams that play for conference championships and make the playoffs have the same number of allowed games, 4, as those who play fewer games. Is that fair?

I like the transfer portal, because if any of the freshmen want to leave, I am in favor of them leaving... but keep in mind that if they redshirt this year at Clemson if they go to another FBS school they will not be eligible until the next year. Only graduates like KB and Feaster are immediately eligible and only if they enroll in a graduate program Clemson does not offer.
I miss Feaster but I was cheering for him last Saturday. I cheer for KB as well.

I thought Bentley would have played more. Sometimes you don't realize during the recruiting process how much these guys need to learn to play and on top of that build their bodies the right way.
