I don’t understand the media! What is the deal, if a Coach is happy where they are and the job that they do, WHY PUSH THEM TO A HC JOB! Honest to God, if I ever get to a college level to Coach, and Coach as a Position or Coordinator, I would dare the media to even consider me for a HC job, period! I’d make it perfectly clear, I’m a coordinator, I love my job, the recruiting is great, program is stable, and we have a fantastic fan base, school administration, why would I wanna leave for a busted up broken down program, only to then become the topic of HC’s on the hot seat, screw that! I’d retire before HC because the media said I should be a HC, football become unrealistic at that point. It’s no longer fun, it’s become a media circus for who can they get removed from a school who’s doing great, and place them in a dumpster fire ?? of a program to watch them fail. Fail only because the media won’t shut up about the negative, disgusting how low the media has sunken too!

Lots of coaches get canned for taking a bad fit. See C. Morris leaving SMU for Arkansas. Bloom where you’re planted first.

I had to TU this post bc of the heart felt emotions put into it. IRONMAN3000, if you are a good coach, and you feel you could be a great college level coach, please apply at Clemson first, bc, all Clemson coaches should feel Clemson from the heart first!!!

Good stuff….positive! This is what we need to hear and know…..not crap about the AD having to deal with a cold virus or some kid that decommited or didn’t show up for practice….bunk that stuff. Hats off to coach Teed!

I commend Coach Reed handling getting passed over for DC position with class and dignity. It will be interesting to see how much longer he intends to stay at Clemson.
