There were a ton of subliminal shots fired in this interview. Been saying for years that it takes forever for receivers to run routes. Now with this system it's six yards and a cloud of dust. Love seeing an emphasis on the short and intermediate routes. Could be a special year.

Keep in an extra blocker, running back or tight end, to protect the passer and let Cade focus downfield.
Run the offense quickly and hit the open man. Short passes turn into big runs with the occasional bomb downfield.
I expect to see our high scoring offense back, which allows the defense to play more aggressively.
Can’t wait for the Orange and White game, and then on to Dook!

Go Tigers!

I think we will see a lot of down field shots this coming season bc Cade is pretty accurate with the long ball!!!

I'm hoping that it will be a special season for our FB team this year. I have noticed that Cade does a whole lot more talking than Trevor or DW4 ever done when they run the offense!!!!

It sounds like Streeter didn't value the practice methods Klubnik had used in HS for purposes of pocket awareness and movement. Maybe this lack of appreciation for those drills contributed to DJ's ineptness in the pocket. I'm sure it wasn't the only reaason, but perhaps there could have been some improvement in his results if what Klubnik is talking about had been employed.

Not taking up for Streeter, but how do you draw the conclusion that he was the reason Klubnik didn’t practice those drills? Nothing in his comments suggests that. In fact, I’d say Klubnik is the one who didn’t practice them on his own. These are things the players practice in the spring when they have limited time with coaches, or when they are working with a specialist outside the program.

The “taking back” would seem to indicate it wasn’t his decision.

Going fast, in and of itself, does not guarantee victory

If you can consistently outscore the opposition at a fast pace, then do it. But don't go fast just to be fast. If we have a quick three-and-out, and the other guys use 20 plays and seven minutes and get a touchdown, rinse and repeat, we lose or else need a mad scramble to win. You hurt your offense AND your defense by playing fast when they play slow successfully.

TCU did not win because they always played fast. They had a great season because sometimes they won the TOP battle. Many times they won the turnover battle. They came from behind with mad scrambles a few times. Sometimes they just got lucky. But really TCU had no business playing for the national championship--they were way over their heads, but maximized what they had under Riley and Dykes.

The decision to go fast must factor in the defense's conditioning and ability to get a stop against the opponent's O on an individual game basis. If we're having a hard time with somebody else's offense (think 2022 Wake Forest) then maybe it's smart to keep them off the field. Ultimately we won that by matching score for score, but if we play that ten times, I don't trust DJ to play the way he did more than three.

With Lawrence, Etienne, Ross, Higgins, Renfrow, Rodgers ... oh yeah, let's boat race. We'll get seven and you'll get less than seven a few times and we win. This is not that same squad. I love to see points, but I also love to see shutouts and times we held the opposition to one score.

TCU lost mainly because they were out talented player for player, and they played the best team in country against Jawja!!!!

I just hope they don't look the way Tennessee did against SC last year in Cootlumbia.

Clemson needs to get serious and stay focused. What Chickenlina did to Tennessee was a complete head scratcher. What Chickenlina did to us was just an insane abysmal display of controlling a game we controlled. ......and it was not all just on DJ.

I hope our recruits that is here shows up and produces big time. Hopefully that success will bring back the type of players to Clemson that we were getting a stronghold on once before....because lately its been some favoritism and desperation....thanks to the NIL.

EVERYTHING on the offensive side of the ball starts with the QB, So Yes we can and Should blame DJ and Streeter for everything that happen with the offense!!!

Clemson tailored it's offense around DJ's skills. That is something that a program that claims to be elite should never be forced to do. Yes every team and group of players is different, but the team's philosophy is what it is. Changing what you do because a certain player cannot execute the play is ludicrous. Streeter knows better and he suffered the consequences. Riley runs his system. If Klubnick can't produce in tbat system then he will not be the QB. It's actually pretty simple. Do the job I ask you to do or someone else will. Same in life!!!

Said before. Lombardi made it famous. Run what u run and do it perfectly. If u run a small amount of variations with excellence u will be successful. Kramer and starr showed u that. Also Horning when he didn’t have a hangover.

Simply put

I’m glad Mr. Klubnik is wearing Tiger orange. After several seasons of California football I’m excited to bring some Texas football to Frank Howard field. Don’t wait until game day to secure your tickets because you will want to see this live and in person. And so will a lot of others! Support the Tigers
