Typical coach-speak- respect your opponent, don't overlook anyone or take anything for granted. That being said, I have 2 observations on this that are on the polar opposite of the spectrum from each-other: (1) Ga Tech stinks; my son is a freshman there so my wife and I went to their first home game against UCF. After beating FSU the week before, I expected more. They were just plain awful and the game was super ugly, bordering on unwatchable. I guess that speaks to exactly how dreadful FSU really is this year! (2) I have been to 3 Clemson at Ga Tech games and we haven't won one of them, despite typically being favored and all Ga Tech fans being resigned to the fact that Clemson would beat the brakes off them. They were all really ugly and mostly low scoring affairs, I believe one was 10-9 and may qualify as the ugliest sporting event I've ever seen in my life. Granted, most of our current players were like 8 to 10 years old the last time I went to one of those games and most were pre-Dabo or very early Dabo... but I'm still scarred from some of those experiences, so Tech scares me... just the tiniest bit. And before you ask- yes, I'm going this year, proudly wearing orange along with my HS son and sitting with my Tech son, who I "think" will wear a Tech shirt, but I'm not positive; let's be honest, he didn't go there for their athletics!
