This team will definitely not make a bowl game this season. 3-1 Record moving forward just to get to 6-6 isn’t happening w this team. Unbelievable disappointing how underachieving this team has been compared to projections pre-season.☠️

Goodman got fired-for what-for this crap? Our secondary cannot read coverages and even worse you play 2 high safeties, and let someone get behind you. Is that poor coaching or just plain STUPID. We lost to DUKE! DDDDDDUUUUUUKKKKKKKKEEEEEEE! That is one of the most embarassing things of all. The come from the dismal pit to football success and we, with our facilities and brain truss are absolutely lost. Dabo DOES NOT need to go anywhere but some of his Assts do-including the Def coordinator he just hired!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care how much it costs, he needs to go. He will bury this program. Exactly what does our def coordinator coordinate?? Screwing up??? Offense, I thought, played well today but high school teams have better defenses than ours.
And to add to desperation, we are biatching about calls now from the podium. Yeah it was a pathetic call that screamed of a Vegas spread but we never drew refs into it officially in public.

Yes the walk in plus 2 sweetened the pot. He said on youotube clip that we can't do coverage (DUH!) It was pretty obvious who was not where they should have been, Wonderif the "Why" as to their improperposition was answered. As a technical issue, Dabo could solve this in a short nap.However, we got position coaches who are not getting things done. Dabo has fired before and I could see it happening again. At the rate we're going, we'd set up to knock down a Hail Mary at the 20 yard line. I hate to say it, it's a bust for this season. Maybe we can bring ina teacher to show people the art form of work and study. You can take a 3A player to a 4A player when he learns the game. I got the feeling we have coaches who need to learn. Who we need is SKALSKI!!!!!!! Crap! Already hired by Venerables

You may not care, but some of us actual fans do care. Yeah, the defense was busted up in more ways than one. But, the offense, especially Cade, did everything they could to win. And to lose by such a poor call just breaks my heart. I still believe in the program. There is just such a shift in programs that the cab is upside down right now. I still believe in my Tigers!

Dabo needs to get in the fim room. The entire film is available on X. The receiver was being held all the way down the field. Even at the end when the cover let go as he was pulling the receiver down.
After that Duke strolled in for a TD and a 2 point. I don't think they were touched on either one.

The most egregious thing about this game was that the coaches didn’t coach, the players didn’t play, and the other team had more heart. Never used to be this way for a Clemson team, and unless a miracle happens and we win out, I don’t see how we make a bowl game. As long as I’ve been an alumnus and fan (since 2002-03), I’ve never not seen Clemson play in a bowl. Unbelievable how the mighty Clemson Tigers have collapsed this year, when all those preseason false prophets picked us to win it all. Nothing is on the table anymore except winning the State Championship (although SC State or the Citadel might take that title from us this year!) and pray to God for a miracle to just make a bowl game, which we will probably lose even if we did. Hate to say it, but the program is in shambles right now, and all the blame falls squarely on Dabo’s shoulders and trickles down through the org chart. Love for Clemson ain’t what wins games, unfortunately; coaching, player development, creative offense scheme, fiery defense, disciplined fundamentals, strong special teams, and making use of every (legal) advantage offered to your program (transfer portal, NIL, nutrition, strength and conditioning, facilities, etc.)—those are the stuff champions are made from.

I don't dusaggree and we know refs are complete morins this year and have simply Bee hortible BUT stop trying to hide the elephant in the room. WHY were we in that position to start with? That may have been the last straw but it was not why we lost the game. We lost because our defense us sliw, confused abd poorly coacged as it has been all year! It us not rocket science Dabo.

GD! We're complaining about calls now! Let's get real. Our team needs a complete overhaul. I don't care if 10 calls were bad. It should not come down to calls on the field when it is Clemson vs Duke for Pete's sake. That crap shouldn't even be coming out of Dabo's mouth. Get rid of 80 percent of the players on defense from where I sit. Worst secondary in the last decade. Go to the Portal and get some guys with talent!! Players make plays and nobody in our secondary are making them.

Does anyone not drill this stuff into them during the week? I mean it’s week 9 or 10. How they still don’t know what their responsibilities are game after game, over and over is hard to explain. Mistakes happen but week after week of the same stuff is not acceptable.

He has not been at Clemson but a year. He came and all the defensive coaches from Goodwin were retained. The man deserves a chance to hire his own defensive coaches before we fire him. Give him a chance.

There has to be a rule change to give coaches a challenge on 4th down pass interference calls that so obviously affect the outcome of the game. Officials are not always right and given what we know about outside influences on sporting events coaches should have more power. That PI call was an absolute disgrace.

He has learned nothing in the past 10-years. Will he cry to ACC to ban this crew next?
Maybe don’t try to get a walk-on OT to score a TD in a critical section. Or save some TOs. Or coach special teams. Or support defense. Or spend time ensuring recruits don’t bail. Or digging deeper in portal. Or evaluating his coaching staff for gaps. Or think twice before hiring every one of his kids.
Team takes on personality of their coach. Neither is hungry. Now it’s all gripes and past glory mixed fun and pillow soft performance.
Coaches and team need to keep their #### hands off the rock.

Too many of those who post on T’net do so without reading the articles. Maybe they can’t read. Dabo clearly said that the worst call I’ve seen lately was NOT the reason we lost. He clearly said that we didn’t deserve to win and that there were numerous gaffs that cost us the game. As he said, we should never have been in that position. Before you go shooting off at the mouth, calling for Dabo to be fired, at least read or listen to what has been said. As for firing coaches right now, the only coach that I can recall being fired during the season is the head coach. If Dabo were fired tonight, who would you want to take his place? The OC or the DC. I’m as frustrated as any Clemson fan and for those who think this is bad I suggest you read the history of Clemson football. I promise you, it has been bad in the past. And if you think these guys don’t care, why was Peter Woods in tears? Some of you who call yourself Clemson fans need to decide what kind of fan you want to be. As a VA Tech friend of mine told me, “they're my team, win or lose.” Clemson is not a football team. Clemson is a university that has a team that plays football, among numerous other things that a university has and does. Not the least of which is providing an outstanding education to a lot of students, most of whom do not play football. This 80 year old graduate of the class of ‘67 is sick and tired of the bellyaching that too many posting on this site are doing. Go Tigers.

Agree Tigered1. Don't have any way to quantify this, but when I talk to my fellow graduates, ALL are upset as to how this season has turned out, but NONE express the vitriol that is posted on this site. Have always wondered how many of the loudest negative posters contribute monetarily to Clemson or actually graduated from the University. Maybe it's that we have, over the last fifty years, suffered poor seasons in valleys and great seasons on top of the mountain. It's hard to get to the top and even harder to stay there. Maybe we have to lose to appreciate the winning. Maybe we have won so much that we expect that winning is our destiny and not a privilege. Not sure why I keep believing that things with this team will turn it around but I, for one, do. It may not be this Saturday or maybe not for a few years. The sun will rise o'er the mountains high and things will get better...maybe it's just because I love Clemson! Clemson '73

I am a huge Clemson Tiger football fan! I hate whenever we lose! But, ALL the losses this season have hurt extra bad! Why, because of all the extremely high preseason expectations. Who do we blame for us believing those totally wrong expectations? As losses have piled up, there’s plenty of blame to go around! NO ONE IS BLAMELESS….. I mean NO ONE!!
We did a direct snap to Peter Woods and he scored a touchdown. Then we took a 38-35 lead into the fourth quarter thanks to kicker Nolan Hauser, who booted a short field goal after Clemson couldn’t punch it in for a touchdown on three plays inside Duke’s 5-yard line as the third quarter wound down. As much as I hate to say it, the biggest boneheaded play of this game to me was when “we” tried to be cute! I believe it was the third down play where we couldn’t score inside Duke’s 5-yard line. What did they do? They TRIED to get a touchdown for another position player that had NO REASON to get that chance at that point in the game. Truthfully, I don’t even know who the player was right now! I just know he was a “big guy” who was thrown a bad pass by Klubnik that was low and probably too fast. A receiver or back might have been able to catch it, but this guy couldn’t! This MIGHT have been a good idea if we we way ahead and this young man was deserving for some reason, but it turned out that we didn’t score a touchdown, and had to settle for a field goal! Clemson trying to be cute cost us 4 points. To me, that was the biggest boneheaded decision of the game! Even giving the ball to Woods is NUTS unless we are way ahead, and I personally don’t think he has even earned a chance at a touchdown with his play!
Dabo shouldn’t complain about a supposed blown call when he makes decisions like the boneheaded play above. Plus, I believe when he rewatches the game, he will see that Terrell was way too “handsy” with the Duke receiver before the ball was thrown.
I hope that Dabo can turn this debacle around!

On one hand, we need to fire Dabo, so that we can use the transfer portal, and get back to being good again.
On the other hand, it's not his fault we lost. *cough cough* not OPI.
