Good article. I can’t see Ohio State or Georgia asking a recruit to work on their High School grades….. They both recruit NCAA minimums with special admissions. He will be special and successful at Clemson!

The complete failure of DJ last year was hard to anticipate or fix. Only so much you can do with personal issues of the players.

Yes sir, and Dabo stuck with him bc he knew he had a season he could give away if needed for DJ's success, but Dabo will have to move quick this coming season if DJ fails to return to how he played in 2020, and I hope that DJ and his family understands that college FB is a big business of performance. And if Dabo does have to bench him, his scholarship will be there for him to get his education that will help him through his life time, even if FB isn't a part of his life!!!

I think it really matters to these young men that our Clemson coaches truly care about them!

To most of them it do, but for the ones that leave early before they are actually ready for the NFL, it don't matter to them how much Dabo cares bc, they think they know about themselves than Dabo does, and it's to late for them care about how Dabo feels, or what his opinion was, once they have failed, and they will have nobody but themselves to blame, and that will be the hardest pill for them to swallow bc, they will then understand what Dabo was trying to tell them!!! I just wish I would have had someone like Dabo caring about me the way that Dabo cares about the kids in his program, and in his life for a short period. If I would have had a Dabo in my young life, I believe my life would have been totally different than it has been, and for the better!!!

What I hope that these kids understand is that, over FB or anything they can do on Saturday or at practice during the week, is that everyone of them do matter to Dabo, and what matters most to Dabo, is that they are educated while at Clemson more so than anything they can do on FB field.
Dabo is dead serious when he says that he wants to make sure that when these young men leave Clemson, that they are prepared for life beyond FB bc only about 3% of them will ever play FB again after college bc, making it in the NFL is just a dream that most players from every school in America will never make it in the NFL. And Dabo wants to make sure they are prepared for life after those NFL dreams is over, and they will need a college education to support themselves and a family if that's what they want. He understands the risk of a college player of never seeing an NFL field on game day!!! And that is why Dabo is so serious about those guys getting good grades and a degree, it bc just like his dream of the NFL ended, and he had to have a good paying job that wouldn't have happen if not for his college education!!!
Dabo cares more about what happens to those kids after their FB days are over, than any HC that's coaching FB today!!!!

Green is so underrated at this point it should be a crime- and everyone has said this! This kid will be a star for our Tigers, mark it down now. The Suckeyes, leg humpers, dumbo elephants- they all wanted and were drooling over this kid. But he saw thru the instant gratification of NIL dollars & BS, & chose our Tigers!!! Y’all are all gonna love this commitment, mark my words!! GO TIGERS BABY!!!
