God bless you guys!
Woodaz plays like a stud linebacker, I enjoy watching him. To find out he is nearly deaf is amazing! He overcomes his disability in impressive fashion….
Go Tigers, Beat LSU!!

Wonder if Woodaz hears the noise when he knocks the wind out of the ball carrier ?

Seriously, is this something he would have had to disclose in NFL interviews ?

With him having the tube implants as a kid, it's definitely on some medical record I would think. If he's had any follow-up or formal diagnosis since, I think the NFL would pick it up in their general discovery phase. I imagine they are fairly robust and/or semi-invasive.
So he may not be obliged to volunteer that information, but regardless the NFL still has to comply with traditional workplace hiring/non-discrimination. With him being forthcoming on this it seems he's quite confident in his extra ability to navigate it.
When you look at some of the all-deaf schools that have football teams, it's pretty cool to see some of their formation signaling, play 'call-ins' from the sideline, etc. I remember a couple of years ago a all deaf HS program won their state championship (in Texas I believe), and the coach basically said it's seamless other than defenders taking some late hit calls due the whistles.
I'd be ok with that I think

My wife said “see…you didn’t even hear a word I said.” And I thought, “that’s a strange way to start a conversation.”

I was also born with hearing issues cause I had an infection in my ear. Still can't hear as well as most people.
