While I applaud the players making moves to improve their games before coming to Clemson I really feel for my old home town Red Foxes. They've lost some serious talent.

As a fan of High School football - particularly in the great state of South Carolina - I don't like it! But, I do understand it.
I can't stand already when they talk about Xavier Thomas they say he is from: Bradenton, Florida! No. He is a Wilson Tiger and from: Florence, South Carolina.
This could make him better obviously so as a Tigers fan; I am happy.

Let's see... Da'Quan Bowers, XT, Capehart, even that J-Clown, not to mention Levon Kirkland and those Perry bros (and of course I'm missing many others in the lexicon of Clemson Greats), but SC seems to produce some serious defensive players. Please correct as necessary and add to the list.

Really hate to hear this but I understand why. I despise the basketball and football "factory schools".
Selfishly though, it will better prepare him for his freshman season at Clemson. That is a positive. In my opinion, the only thing standing between Capehart and greatness in college is technique.

Nice to know he has the grades to go there. The HHS Red Foxes will survive. They have a lot of talent. I look forward to seeing him play for the Tigers. I am also from Hartsville ... Class of 71. Go Foxes, and GO Tigers.

I don't like the fact that these high schools with monikers like "Collegiate" & "Academy" are allowed to recruit athletes. I think there is a sleazy underbelly to the process much like AAU basketball.
