I won’t be surprised if the spring game looks lopsided by a defense that dominates the offense. If fact, if we think the Tigers have enough talent to make noise in the playoff then that would be best thing to see next month.

Then the t-net bi##### will complain about the offense being bad...

IDK who the coach is or what a coach is known for, if he has never played the game that he/she coaches at the college level there is no way they can teach ( coaches are teachers ) technique at different levels or at any position...

Thought the same thing as I was reading the article. I’m not at practice so this is a guess, but I imagine the game was more mental than physical with Wes as the leader.

Tackling technique, fundamentals, sound schemes, with all gas and no brakes! This will translate into a lot of wins.

A shoulder tackling team! Music to my ears. Honestly don’t know how you can attempt to play defense any other way. That garbage stand up straight and try to hug with no leverage was disgusting to watch. Lead to a total lack of physicality too.

Just more evidence why the Goodwin experiment was a mistake from the get go. He should never have been put in that position to begin with.
There was no gap integrity. Poor tackling fundamentals. Poor/bad scheme. Some of us were complaining about it last season and were accused of being haters. But the film doesn't lie.
If you think about all the missed tackles/poor gap integrity last year, and particularly against USCjr./Texas---really makes you wonder what might have been.

So glad to see Allen quickly recognizing the things that I was screaming at my television about all of last season. Watching our horrendous inability to stop the run in the Louisville game was painful and the South Carolina game was worse. Expecting great things this fall. Go Tigers !

Good to hear.
Not just Clemson but players from all teams seem to have players that believe they can come in like a heat seeking missile and deliver a hit that will put the ball carrier on the ground. Are they coached to do that ? It's so prevalent that it appears so. Drives me nuts
The same with just holding a guy up while your teammates try to punch the ball loose. Meanwhile he's steadily picking up yards. Put him on the ground.

Mobile, agile, hostile was the mantra. Then again we were told to lead with the head … which is frowned upon nowadays. Regardless the principles remain the same, mobile, agile and hostile.
