In a Note, a Quote, and a Stat, it just proves what Tiger Nation has been saying for a few years now. And what we've been saying is that Tony Elliott's play calling has cause our offense to not look like, but to actually be Vanilla. Plays that would work bc our guys have proved in instances that they would work if they weren't called in order with every series, and DC's of everybody that we play have it figured out with what and when it's coming. Those same plays that has a chance to work is squashed bc they are being called in sequence just about every series.
I believe that the plays in the play book can, and will work if they are never called in the same sequence every series. Tony must do his job with making sure that a sequence of plays are never called in the same sequence throughout the entire game. Do that, and DC's will have to go back to the drawing board and try to break the code of what Tony will run at them next, they will have to do more than look at the film of the game a week prior. Make changes Tony Elliott, and never run the same play the way it was run in the first half, in the second half. Make it look like what they expect, and run something totally different, and if he does that, he will have opposing defenses on their heels the same as they were in the past. I know that it takes time to change everything up every quarter, every half, every game, but make the time, tell Dabo to hire an experience TEs coach so Tony can spend his days disguising our plays according to what our opponents do on defense. And if Tony never schemes our offense close to the same from week to week, nobody will have a clue of what he plans to do against them if they are our opponent's the next week....

Tiger Nation? Speak for yourself and the rest of the armchair experts. Let me know when you get a job at D1 college as an offensive coordinator

After 5 games, I don't think DJ believes in himself. To hesitant, doesn't move enough

Here's a few stats. DJ is 105th in the country in completing percentage, 111th in passing efficiency, 107th in passing TDs. There are over 100 teams that are better than Clemson in almost every offensive category. This is on the coaches. Whether it's being too loyal and not making the change at QB, not recruiting competently so you have backups good enough to challenge the starter, not coaching the offensive players up to the standard you have set, not recruiting enough players to replace transfers, or not going to the transfer portal to replace late transfers so you can field competent players at every position unit. Complacency and/or pride

We are just trying to hold serve and see if DJ can blossom, while we await Cade. Sorry TP, all that battle will serve you elsewhere, as it has for many others to attempt to be the QB at Clemson. I got the feeling this is about recruiting tie-ins, TP. Your school is not pushing as much talent as DJ's and neither of you honestly match up with Cade. It is what it is, this year and the next.
Go Tigers!

So far, Venables and defense propping up the poor offensive performance...wonder how Tony likes that?...
