Let's just take them one game at a time while hoping that it leads us to the NCG. If the team that we put on the field this season can make it back to the Benz for a third game, that will mean that our guys have developed through the season that should be good enough and talented enough to win the NCG in just two decades. As a Tiger fan I would be very happy with 3 national championships wins after playing 5 national championship games in two decades. As Clemson Tiger fans, wouldn't the rest of Tiger nation be happy with those kinds of results? I know that I would!!!

Playing in Atlanta 3 times would be a GREAT season. Playing a playoff game and/or national championship game there would be a huge advantage for Clemson against any team except GA or maybe Bama.
And yes, it is still possible.

Cade is not up to the task, so let’s put the kool-aide down, take off the orange tinted glasses and temper the expectations a lot. Stream of consciousness dreaming like this does not offer the fan base a realistic assessment of how truly bad the offense was and how far it needs to go in order to end up in Atlanta again. We can all hope and dream; and I do; but how about some serious sports commentary to help us become a better educated fan base with realistic expectations?

So you’re telling us that Clemson might not make to the Nat’l Championship game this coming season? Who else from among Bama, TX, UGA, OH State, Michigan, Penn State, Miami, OR, or Ole Miss might not make it to the Nat’l Championship game?

We need to try to win, regardless of where we have to go to play. Atlanta is not a great place to be anytime.
