I agree. If Tennessee wins and then Alabama runs the table and avenges their loss, then all 3 teams could have a pretty good argument.

The ONLY way to eliminate the 3 SEC talk is for Bama to lose their second game in the SEC championship.
Both Tenn or GA could accomplish that.
Any thing other than that leaves at least 2 SEC teams that are 11 - 1 laying claim to a spot by pointing to their one high-quality loss to another top 5 team..

If UGA beats Tenn and Bama wins out and beats UGA who do the ESecPN talking heads say gets in the CFP besides Bama? With the Mich/O310 St winner being in, any chance the committee would put UGA or Tenn in over an undefeated Clemson or TCU?
I'm sure ESecPN would push for it!

I would like to see the VOLS win. They haven't been a contender in years.
I don't think that they will put Clemson in the playoff .. they will argue SOS... and that Tigers "barely escaped" the teams they should have blown out.
Tigers will definitely have to make all of them stand up and pay attention in order to be #4.
ND will be an important game. I pray my Tigers will Show up. Shut Them up... Shut them down... Shut them out!!!! Lets Go Tigers!!!

Allow me to rephrase the question: Which one-loss team is less likely to challenge Clemson for a CFP spot ? I think a one-loss Tenn is less likely to get in, as opposed to the defending champs.
Here's another way to look at it. How can we keep 2 SEC teams out of the CFP ? Whoever wins the Ga - Tenn game will face Bama in the conference championship. If Bama gets a second loss there, they are out. And to put a second SEC team in the CFP, you would have to make a real stretch to put in a team that did not even play for their conference championship. Its been done, but it is a stretch.
