This model, spearheaded by Smash Capital, is designed to reshape college football by consolidating 70 football programs from the four power conferences (SEC, Big Ten, Big 12, and ACC) into a more streamlined system. The key elements of Project Rudy include:
1. Expanded Playoffs and Scheduling Changes: The plan proposes eliminating games against lower-tier opponents (Group of Five and FCS teams) and focusing more on high-profile matchups between major programs to increase revenue.
2. Media Rights Consolidation: Instead of each power conference having its own media rights deal, the plan calls for consolidating media rights across the 70 teams, which could lead to increased television and sponsorship revenue. The projected increase in revenue is estimated to be about $15 billion over 12 years.
3. Private Capital Infusion: The plan includes a $9 billion infusion of private capital, with $5.3 billion coming upfront to help schools transition during a three-year period. This cash would help fund the restructuring, including buying out games against non-power conference opponents and boosting schools' budgets.
4. Revenue Sharing and Relegation System: The model also introduces a tiered revenue-sharing system, rewarding more successful programs and potentially relegating lower-performing teams.
However, the challenge lies in convincing SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey and Big Ten Commissioner Tony Petitti to adopt the plan.

From what I was able to understand of it with only a HS education bc I attended like trade school where academics wasn't the most important, it was knowledge and skill based. The degree I received after graduation was called and occupational Asociates degree. But, what I did understand about Project Rudy, is that the power FB schools will be placed in like a tier 1 and down the line of tiers down according to the FB powers, and if what I understood is correct, the coots would hate the system bc their FB tier would be around the 3 or 4 tier, and mainly bc they've never been a really good FB schools. For you that is a lot more academically smarter than I am, am I correct to where the coots would fit into the Project Rudy system?

I know Clemson fans are thinking Clemson would be an automatic tier 1 team but that's not how I see it and I'm not saying we aren't a top five program over the last decade.
USCw, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, FSU, Penn State, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, FSU, ND,...
...we're talking largest fan bases not schools which win the most. These guys are about generating profit not setting the stage for the true current power house teams to compete.
