Does he? This is a solid team, but not a natty contender. Pitching is just good not elite and the hitting overall is putrid. Those are both backed by data. Not opinions. Look at year long stats. This late in the season the team is what the stats say. Not pools but stats. Tigers are somewhere between 12 and 18th. Not top 8.

Bingo ! People get mad when the truth is posted but it has been clear for weeks now that this was coming. Again not 1 single hitter batting 300 in a college lineup using aluminum bats ? That is historically bad hitting ! Even the coaching lately has been questionable with pitching decisions , base running blunders, hitting approach ? This team has fallen to 6th in the ACC and could drop even further by tomorrow. This is quite a letdown after such a going start . Anyone that knows baseball and is realistic saw this coming with the inability to hit , and inconsistent pitching we have been seeing for weeks now . This team is nowhere close to being able to win a super regional . At this rate you can’t feel good good about winning a regional either .

It’s just the truth. Lack of any hitting against a pitcher with a pulse will doom this team. Changing tactics to small ball won’t win games when it counts.

Everyone has transfers. Between watching the Derby and golf, what I have seen is that Florida State is really good and their pitching is excellent.

I disagree on leadership… I think can is def a leader and we aren’t at practice so I could see guys like Jarrell and cuifo being leaders too. That doesn’t mean they have to hit .500 and 20 hrs to be a leader it just means do things the right way by example … imo I think Bakich is the best coach in America and gets the absolute most out of the guys he has, BUT I think we need to start recruiting better , I just don’t think this team is very talented and the pitching is head scratching… some solid arms but not a single go to guy besides Knaak …I mean our best reliever came to Clemson as a catcher and learned to pitch and should be our closer lol … I hope the recruiting picks up I know some were excited about some of the transfers but I just think we aren’t that talented offensively , which is fine but you better have elite pitching to win it all.
