Well to be fair they have Shawn Elliott back on the roster and he’s helping with OL to some extent it looks like. If I remember he coached AJ Cann who was a long time NFL starter for the Jags.

Why do yall keep posting articles about this kid? We were full at OL months ago and he just threw Clemson in his finalists as a courtesy for how well Matt Luke was recruiting him early. This was down to LSU and the coots for months now and I’m sure the ##### threw plenty $$ to sway him away from LSU.

I loved the real Chesty Puller, but don’t be silly. He would have been a great pickup e Tigers. Old we didn’t need him anyway thing, is pretty weak. Any really good OL or DL is a huge need for all schools.

Coots have about caught up to us in the 247 recruiting rankings. We have slipped to #15 and they have climbed to #19 Why players want to play for Daddy Franks boy the way he acts is beyond me.

Because he's modeled their program and culture after Dabo. Yes, he had a bad look and moment in the bowl game, but what coach hasn't. Even Dabo's had a few in the early years.
Like it or not, he's actually building a good foundation there. He's recruiting well. He would put up winning season numbers like we do if his competitors weren't strong. Meaning, he'd be doing really well with an acc schedule.
Funny how the narrative changed on T-Net. Saying we quit recruiting him etc etc. He'd have been our highest rated recruit and bank it, Dabo and staff really wanted this kid. Big recruiting loss. Great kid that'll be a force.

I would've been ok with taken a scholly from another position just to give to this kid to keep the yard birds from getting him. I don't wanna see them get ANY good recruits. But this kid got the bag from flea market Dabo and the kid knows he will have absolutely no pushback from other recruits when it comes to field time.

What makes you think Shane wants to or will go to Virginia Tech. I hate to say this as a tiger, but I think as it stands right now the coot program is a much better program in a much better place than Virginia Tech and also I think he said something along the lines of where he’s at is his dream school and he wants to stay there as long as they will have him. My brother, who is a cool alumni told me that he said at a donors meeting once that he wants to be for South Carolina what his dad was for Virginia Tech.
