My son and I were looking at the lineup sheet yesterday at the game and we were talking about who was returning next season. I think Reed returns. I'm not sure he's a mlb outfielder. Who plays right? Beer takes 1st. Green and Davidson stay put. We need a true 3rd baseman. Wilke will catch. Who takes Krall's spot? This team will also have to replace Pinder and I don't see a true Centerfielder on the roster.

Let's fire a coach that hasn't even been here 2 years and won an ACC championship his first year. That makes total sense.

Rohlman graduated. I don't see him being a highly sought after draft pick or making a huge splash in the minors, but I don't know if an extra year of college ball will help his fielding or the fact that he's a line drive hitter in a power hitter's body. He'll probably do what Wilson did last year and sign no matter where he gets drafted.

Idk if we do lose our juniors. We will lose cox. Beer back to first? Be interesting but I think our pitching will be better. He'll get the recruits in. 2019. ??

As much fun as these kids have playing for Lee, I could see a lot of them coming back. Losing one and two run games the past few weekends to top 5 teams isn't the end of the world, these kids are sticking together and fighting like hell..and Lee is bringing in top notch talent, think about how Dabo built football and trust Monte is doing the same with baseball

All that being said, I'm not ready to write this season off. Think we'll see a different pen for post season. Monte will get some experience in fall ball.
Personally, i think with no expectations for next year, we will relax and have a fun team next year with better pitching.

If we win out,which includes a win vs #2 Louisville, a pretty good Coastal C team, and a sweep NC State,we'll be 42-14,nobody can say there's anything wrong with that record and going into the ACC tournament with a 5 game win streak.

last year we overachieved and were overseeded. This year we looked great early and we are still on pace to meet our preseason expectations. Unless we totally crap ourselves against NCSU and the tournament we are right where we should be this season. A 10-16 team.
Had the NC and Louisville series been spread out nobody would have noticed a sweep. But since they were backloaded it looks worse than it is.
