Even worse than the FSU blowout in ‘13….Their coach disrespected us, disrespected our stadium then came in and whipped our ### in our own house in front of a sellout crowd and a national audience…and we barely put up a fight. This one will be hard to come back from

You don’t remember the SC game last year, or Georgia or Louisville?

I think what he's trying to emphasize is all the off-field drama that's been involved in these matchups. Yeah, games like '23 Duke and '24 Louisville hurt, but this is different because of the amount of tension between the fanbases. The ones that stick out to me are this game, '24 SCar, '22 Tennessee, '22 SCar, and '20 Ohio State. You could probably throw '23 baseball vs Tennessee in there, too. Every one of those games had LOTS of vitriol from opposing teams, media, and fans during the buildup. Those are the types of games that are crucial to win from a credibility standpoint, and Clemson lost all of them. The Ohio State fans were angry about the fumble call from '19 and about Dabo's comments on where they should be ranked, so they rubbed our faces in it when we lost in '20. The 2 South Carolina games shouldn't even need explanation. Tennessee fans said some of the most disrespectful things I've ever heard in the '22-'23 season during both the Orange Bowl and the regional. And they got rewarded for it both times. And now this, with all the "Death Valley" stuff, the 2019 game still in mind, the drama over the suspended safety, all the stuff Brian Kelley said, and the conduct of some of our fans tonight just set up LSU fans to be able to spit on us like never before. SCar media hacks and SEC shills are having a field day online right now.

Getting blown out by Duke in the opener in 2023 definitely tops this!

You must not have been around long. A 7 point loss to a Too 10 team doesn’t even crack the embarrassment scale.

It was different back in those years. It was like we were climbing toward something great and you knew we were so close to it…I feel like this team is just wandering in the wilderness

It wasn't like that back then, at all. Dabo was under constant fire for losing to SCU. We didn't start to feel like something was brewing until the Peach Bowl against LSU.

I felt it even when Bowden was here…I would have to say I have felt it since FSU ‘03 then we went on to beat Tennessee in the peach bowl. I don’t know, maybe winning 2 national titles in 3 years ruins you, but even when we had Bowden, we would win big games like this. It was the in between time where we failed

With Bowden, we would win a big game against FSU or Miami and then lose to Duke or Wake Forest the following week. Some serious revisionist history going on here.
"I don’t know, maybe winning 2 national titles in 3 years ruins you"
Probably so. I'm very grateful I got to experience that run and I'd love to see another, but that only comes around once or twice in a lifetime if you're lucky. The team needs improvements but it's not as bad as you're making it out to be.

nope. UGA game last year was way worse. At least we played some defense tonight. The offensive scheme is still bad against real defenses.

I really wouldn't call 17-10 whipping us. They've got more playmakers and better coaches on offense. Duke 2023, SCU last year, those were hard losses. At least here we can see what needs to be fixed.

That wasn’t in our house right after the opposing coach told us our house was a cheap temu knockoff (in not so many words) but yeah, this one hit a little different

However, it is a disappointing loss for a team that has been propped up all offseason as a national title contender with a Heisman candidate.
