I think he's referring to the theory that Dabo paid DJ to come to Clemson or to stay this season, and is being coerced to start DJ or Big Dave will go public. I've seen this one floating around. Honestly would prefer it to be true over Dabo just getting a big head about the starter.

I believe that Dabo heavily participated in talking DJ into staying after last year. As a result, he was way emotionally over-invested in his success. Add in some stubborness and ego and...VOILA!
