Best quote in the entire article

"When you have young quarterbacks behind offensive lies that aren’t really good, you’ve got a lot of ineffectiveness and injuries.”
Seems that most teams, not only in the SEC, prioritize on DB's, RB's, QB's and WR's. O Line is almost an after thought. Recall when LSU and Alabama played this year? 0 - 0 at the half, quite a yawner. Both had good O lines and stout front 7's on D.

“When you have other schools (nationally) like Clemson, Michigan, Ohio State and Florida State recruiting well, plus a lack of player development at certain key programs (in the SEC), that’s where you see a couple of down years.”

Ouch, this is almost too painful for the poor little downtrodden chickens to have to see in print. way too much truth in that article.

ACC and Big10. What a joke. The best big 10 team got smoked 31-0. Michigan was getting blown out and needed some miracles to have a close loss to FSU, all with one of the most experienced teams in CFB. PSU played a classic no defense game against a USC team that lost by 50 earlier in the year, still lost. Wisconsin played a cupcake and Nebraska was overrated garbage all year. ACC is clearly the best conference in the nation.
I always wondered why people tried to beat Bama by being Bama. Only Bama with those players can pull off that terrible offense and win championships. If any of those AD's or head coaches were smart they would all be running HUNH offenses. It's basically the only way to beat Bama. You HAVE TO be able to throw the ball and it helps to have a QB that can run a bit.

Cowherd is not right about much but 2 years ago he said the SEC was in decline and that other conferences had closed the talent gap.
