They give the good teams another easy win.
The ONLY REASON the $EC invited u5c to join, after Texas and FSU turned them down, was because they wanted a perennial doormat and whipping boy for the leagues premier teams which is exactly what they got.

there are only like fourteen Division 1 schools in the country that have an equestrian team. Four of them are in them $EC (u5c, Auburn, Georgia and Texas A&M).

The fact that no school other than 6 traditional football powers, Bama, LSU, Auburn, UGA, UF & UT have won that conference in the last 50 years confirms that. The others are just there to serve as sacrificial lambs. The sad thing is, they're too stupid or blind to see that.

Those sports are irrelevant when it come to media exposure. Only football & men's basketball get meaningful TV ratings. The others are just time slot fillers that get about as many viewers as pro bowling & poker.

T_I_P , there's football and basketball as contributors . Other sports in college , regardless of personal involvements or actual enjoyment factor ... just don't get the recognition .
OP was talking about Football , most likely .
