Clemson players celebrating in endzone pregame

Dec 1, 2013, 8:04 PM

Noticed you guys did this before the 2011 game also. Is this something you guys actually do on a regular basis?

I would not call it a celebration.

that game last night

Was great you could feel the tension. For 3 quarters it met the billing of a top 10 match up. I still think Clemson is a very good team.

I noticed...

none of your seniors would look your head coach in the eye when they were announced before the game and came out to greet him. Is it common for your players to show no respect toward their head football coach?

Also, what's up with this Clowney guy being recognized as a senior after playing college football for only three years? Is he some kind of genius that's going to graduate in three years or something? I "heard" he wasn't very smart and couldn't spell simple words, but maybe that's just a viscous rumor.

It's questionable if he was truly ever a high school senior !***

you may want to run a spell-check before posting - "viscous?"

I was disappointed Spurrier didn't do the DUI PSA. His drunk point would have been great. Why didn't they have him do it?

The same reason the other 2 juniors that have declared they are giving up their last year were recognized as well. I think it works out better to know what your losses will be for recruiting purposes and if you don't think that seeing kids leave for pro careers from a school is not a recruiting edge then you're fooling yourself.

i can see the benefit for sure, but it's senior day & if you aren't then it should be recognition day = more logical

point taken however.

being there & putting in the time & dirt makes more team imo & gives them a goal to shoot for as well, depending on that specific player's mentality.
