I do not drink any alcohol because of an auto immune Disease, I have had most of my adult life. With that being said, I talked to a friend of mine today, who is an executive with a huge national food and beverage retailer. He told me that Titos is preparing to offer hundreds of thousands of dollars to be the official Vodka of Clemson athletics at their sporting arenas. Do the other liquor and beer companies pay us any money for selling their products at football and basketball games?

I know they do in the boxes. Maybe that’s what he’s talking about but I doubt it. That’s alot of cash to just sell to private boxes.

I believe there are a few boxes that have alcohol service, meaning open bar with a bartender (IPTAY, president’s box). Most are like the club seats…bring your own (or call the supplying liquor store) to put in your locker. I’m pretty sure that there are no cash sales of alcohol at any Clemson sporting events.
I’ve only been in a box once but the owner stocked his own refrigerator/bar just like club seats. I currently have club seats and we all have to stock our locker with whatever we want…no alcohol sales.
Even if someone wanted to be an official alcohol provider of Clemson, they would only have a very small percentage of the crowd to supply. It would be a small contract that I doubt would be worth it.

Isn't there a state law that prohibits selling alcohol at sporting events on campuses that are state schools?
