The 2’s and 3’s who were in the game late yesterday were much more impressive than the last couple of games. No more giving up a lot of trash time touchdowns was a big improvement. The offense was limited in the play calling, but the execution was great to see. Going into the second half of the season, this is significant with the number of nagging injuries that will always add up.

Remember NC State was a home game so we had 3’s, even some 4’s in the game. Wake, a road game we travel with a whole lot less players. But agreed, getting those back ups experience early helps them in their development.

All our opponents are weaker teams, half the teams that play each week are weaker teams. If you have a point to make, spit it out and stop taking cheap shots before you end up on the wrong side of Tnet history.

The travel squad is limited in to 75 (I think is the number) so the 76-100th players never get in. That is where the real garbage time occurs

If I was a backup, I think I would practice harder knowing that I was likely to get significant playing time on game day. We haven't had that the last few years and it is now showing, I believe.

Its almost like giving backups meaningful playing time and not leaving starters in to pad stats amounts to those backups improveing or something. Who would have thunk it? Snark not directed at OP but towards the couch geniuses who whine about winning by 20 instead of 40 like its actually going to matter.
