If they can't sustain the success they found on the first drive they will get beat soundly. Hope they do. Really don't want Cryin' Day to win a natty. I don't mind Freeman getting one. He seems like a decent guy.

Teams hold our guys way worse than that and never get called for it. Definitely shouldn't have been a penalty there.

They can't afford to get off schedule

OSU has the weapons to convert things like 2nd and 25. ND does not. One hold or false start could be enough to kill any drive.

Exactly right. The reason the first drive was so successful was bc of how well they stayed on schedule.

ND’s only chance is to keep running the ball and some timely play action. They need to burn clock to try to stay within one score and keep OhioSt offense on the sidelines.
