Ben Boulware in my opinion though maybe not physically but from a pure overall impactful presence. His leadership, attitude, and heart were everything you could ever dream for in a player and what he lacked in measurables he made up for in smarts and instincts.
He was a massive piece of the puzzle in that 2016 Championship team

It's a matter of terminology...but he was an Outside Linebacker in the Clemson defensive scheme at the time.
So, he was a linebacker. And so was Wayne Simmons. Both were OLBs.

IMO Levon Kirkland. Watching him play was awesome, he was so fast for a big guy and was one of the best tacklers I have ever seen.
Anthony Simmons 2nd best. Absolute stud LB!!
Also enjoyed watching Isiah Simmons fly around the field. Stephone Anthony was also a superb linebacker. Spencer Shuey was very fun to watch, and Ben Boulware was very much the same style player.

2. Jeff Davis: Started the foundation. Tackling machine on a natl. champ team
3. Kirkland: Maybe the most feared and with good reason
4. I. Simmons: Most freakish defensive athlete to ever wear Orange
5. Keith Adams: Another tackling machine
6. Boulware: Can't measure the intangibles he brought
7. O'Daniel: Paul Johnson's kryptonite and maybe our best coverage backer ever
8. Ed McDaniel: Most underrated
9. Skalski: See Boulware
10. Wayne Simmons: Do it all enforcer and blitzer with a nasty streak
Honorable: Andy Headen, Kendall Joseph, Leroy Hill, John Johnson, Tre Lamar, Trenton Simpson
Pure Volume tacklers, I think Anthony Simmons and Keith Adams are the best.
Greatest physical talents: A. Simmons, I. Simmons, W. Simmons could all have played all 3 LB spots at a high level
Toughest: Obviously Boulware and Skalski, but don't sleep on Ed McDaniel. He was a grown man when every A and B gap run was led by a sledgehammer fullback
