There are 10 college QBs with more rushing yards than Clemson’s leading RB.

Clemson's Oline needs to be better and Randall needs to process better. And Dabo needs to rotate the running backs.

Also, Cade needs to rip off some runs. Last year he was an excellent runner. Not so this season.

Long runs by our QB are, of course, great.

Even better would be if he could consistently run for just enough yards to get us a first down. Since getting here, he hasn’t been able to do that. Breaking a tackle is something that he simply is not built for. He’s not shifty, either, and so unless there is a ~ straight line open path for him, then he gets no more yards than what the straight line / obstacle-free path will allow him to gain.

And the OL needs to learn how to block. Adam Randall only had 30+ yards against UNC. How pathetic is that?

I’m convinced that T.Leigh and W.Parks are injury-impaired. We know that E.Thurman is out (presumably because of previous injury that had gotten worse when he tried to play on it).

Our other two healthy Guards are a problem. One of them is a RS Junior; for whatever reason he continues to be very inconsistent at both run blocking and pass protection. The other is a true Junior who, IMO, has never lived up to the confidence that our coaching staff continues to have for him. Whether healthy or not, our OL will not be good as long as either (or worse, both) are in the lineup.

With Leigh and Parks both being (IMO) impaired, we are in a world of doo-doo.

Play B.Jacobs at LT, D.Pennington at LG, and throw in Mason Wade at RG and dedicate the BC game to runn8ng the ball. Jacobs and Pennington can’t be trusted in pass protection. Maybe Wade won’t have to blow anyone off the line; he runs well enough to pull.

Baby steps.

AR8 has exceeded my expectations with his position move to RB - the young man is tough if inexperienced. Still I hope to see Dabo mix in Davidson and Eziomume since this is Randall's last year of football.
