I suppose it's a 2-way street where the coach says we don't want you, please enter the portal. Honestly, we're probably better off with all but Jones leaving. However, having to recycle 4-5 players every year might not lead to long term success.

We can't be better off with 99% roster turnover. We only have one player returning that even touched the ball in any significant games last season.

People use their eligibility and move on. We might be better with the ones we lost that were still eligible though, outside of Del.

We always talk about players wanting more money, and seeing the portal as a way to do that, but coaches (at least the smart ones) are always considering who is available in the portal. The opportunity to upgrade your team should always be explored, and that's part of what this coaching staff does.

That's not an answer. We had that opportunity with outgoing seniors, we didn't need to create 6 more openings.

If you do a good job evaluating talent - then why sign players who you don’t care if they leave.
If you do a good job of developing talent - then why would you want them to leave?
This line of BS from the Brad buddies is ridiculous.
Do your due diligence, sign people with talent who can be developed, and have a culture.
Then, you fill gaps with portal. Not build an entire team.
