Trevor Lawrence electric in MVP performance over Bartram Trail
Midway through the second quarter, the student section at Cartersville High School started chanting, “It’s too easy” as the Canes roared out to a 31-3 lead over visiting Bartram Trail. It wound up being not that easy, but Clemson commit Trevor Lawrence was impressive as the Canes held on for a 52-45 victory. Full Story » |

I don't have a lot of time to watch HS football but since this game was on - finally after the weather delay, I decided to check out this TL kid I had heard so much about. By chance I saw a nice hard run by their TB from the 2 and then the 82 TD pass. That's all I needed to see - can't wait to get him here in the mix too. The only downside is we're going to probably have at least 4 QB's who can start anywhere in the country and someone's not going to be happy. The price you pay for progress I guess.

Quite a hum-slinger I'd say. Nice game TL.

Very understandable. It was a "Ohm" game. I'm sure he will get many "Volts" for player of the year.

I've heard that one of his best abilities is scrambling to his right, and throwing pretty accurate passes to his receivers down field. That is what a spread offense QB has to be able to do. Personally, I can hardly wait to see him in our offense with all the talent that we have in receivers and another accurate arm to put the long ball in their hands. That is what DW4 has proved to be what championships are made of!!!

I was very impressed, as this was the first full game I've had a chance to see TL.
Most impressed with his decision making, and ability to look off his receivers. On some cases it looked like going through progressions, on a few it look like he look off to set up his target.
Arm strength and release are as tremendous. Throws with touch when needed too.
Throwing motion reminds me a little of Phillip Rivers, throws with a noticeable bend in his arm.
I'm far from a QB coach, but I would think this makes the release quicker.
All in All, he'll put up big numbers for us. Good news is, with the talent we already have, he won't be rushed into starting.
