if you are happy with the margin of victory. The game was over one drive into the second half. I'm sure they would have liked the defense to finish strong but the offense obviously went vanilla after the 20 pt lead.

Correction.. They wish the offense would have finished the game. Them going 3 and out over the course of the 4th quarter put unneeded stress on the defense to save their tails. They gotta do better and not take their foot off the gas so early. Do what got you the lead until the clock hits 0:00.

Somewhat agree. I don't think they thought would take many more points to win. Would have liked to see the foot on the gas a little more but another legit match-up next week. Just happy with the W. The game never seemed as close as the final score.

Uh, that was a loss if the onside kick is recovered by FSU!
Realize that finishing games matter and Clemson “vanilla” is not good for team or fans. Play to win, not to not lose

Because the Tigers put themselves in a position that could have ended much differently that it did. A game is not over until all 0’s yet tonight the time didn’t finish. Did you watch, simply didn’t finish strong.

You’re commuting a fallacy mostly related to recency bias and gamblers fallacy. The last thing that happened (of significance) was an onside kick and you’re giving it all this weight. Then presuming that if we’d lost the onside kick we’d automatically lose the game (also a fallacy). But the game is the result of thousands (if not millions) of independent events. The onside kick is no different than all the other turnover opportunities we didn’t commit throughout the game. We may have allowed the statistical chance of victory to slip from its peak in the third quarter until roughly two minutes to go in the fourth but the game was not a toss up after FSU’s final touchdown. Statistically they had very little chance of winning starting the 4th quarter and that never really changed. The fact that you can easily envision a scenario where FSU would win doesn’t actually make it any more likely.

They kicked an onside kick with two and a half minutes left. The game was most certainly not over one drive into the second half.
Clemson played well, but not everything was rosey.
