Face the truth.

That was one of the worst offensive performances of all time. A team with top 10 or better talent can't get a first down. Coaches are to blame for not having them ready. With that said I believe they will get it turned around. Dabo knows what is going on, he will fix it. Go Tigers, I still think they go undefeated the rest of the way.

Point being that it was terrible but I think it's correctable. Don't blame O line or QB. The coaches are to blame. They had a bad moment but I believe they correct it. Give them the benefit of the doubt. The past success has shown us they know how to fix it. Absolutely a ugly moment that you don't see very often.

The QB blamed himself.

And the technique by the OL is just fine. We have a strength and physicality issue on offense. Haven't had a power running game since 2018.
So I do think the OL and QB were why we lost the game. Execution was terrible. By all accounts we were functioning on all cylinders in practice, but it didn't translate to the game. What else are coaches supposed to do?
My biggest issue is not the QB. He got rattled early when the OL broke down so easily. DJ will improve with experience.
My biggest issue is the OL, and again I don't blame technique. You don't see guys whiffing on blocks or being out of position. What we see are guys getting pushed off the ball. We lack physicality, and it's really starting to show up in big games. It's repeatedly showing up on the OL, and something needs to change, obviously.
But again, the coaches had a gameplan to attack UGA's secondary. We were practicing well and as prepared as can be. There was nothing else coaches could have done. Execution was the issue.
DJ admitted it, and I'm positive that if an offensive lineman was asked to speak on it there would be similar accountability taken.

Don't give them a pass on technique

DJU had lead in his shoes. Do they ever work on QB runs? I mean we are 1st and goal, a 6'5" 250# QB and we don't run even once? He needs to move, run and pass. I think his technique is sorely lacking.

DJ held the ball for too long on most of those sacks. DW4 Would of had the ball to the WR in 2/3 seconds. DJ was holding it for 5/6 seconds. Massive difference. Not sure if this will be corrected against elite defenses. A lot of practice is needed.

Exactly MyFav, looking that far back behind you, could allow what's following you to catch up. Look forward to the next game, and you should be better prepared for when you get there!!!
