I watched it last week. I knew it was about that battle he was in, but had no idea he was actually playing himself in it until I watched it. I didn't know him well, but was in school at the same time as him and had a few run-ins with him during that time. Pretty cool to see him playing himself in the movie.
His book "Rise" is a worth-while read as well. Great guy who has overcome a LOT to get where he is today.

It is straight from Clint Romesha. He received the Medal of Honor. Check it out.

Yes. I thought the first half of the movie was kind of slow and the audio mix was very poor. You had multiple people talking in nearly the same voice and tone in a room full of people and you couldn’t tell when one character stopped and another started. About halfway through it picked up as they were in smaller groups. Does a good job of just showing daily drudgery in the military and they try to work a lot of lingo in. Really picks up and finishes strong over the last third of the movie. Typical higher up command putting other soldiers in untenable situations trying to prove a point to please a star somewhere up the chain of command.

He is in the movie as one of the mortar team. Make sure to watch all the credits at the end of the movie. There is a short interview with him as the credits are rolling.
